Welcome to the Christianity Forum!😀 Living the Christian life has never been easy. The Apostle Peter wrote 1 Peter 5:8 -"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."  The Apostle Paul wrote Ephesians 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  The intent of this forum is two-fold. To allow thoughtful people to respectfully discuss issues. Pay attention to 3 words in the previous sentence: "Thoughtful People" and "respectful." Any post that denigrates individuals, groups of people, or organizations will be removed. That does not mean you cannot vigorously challenge any idea that a person or organization holds. The second purpose of this forum is storytelling. if you have a story of God working in your life that you think will encourage others, you can tell your story here. I now draw your attention to four words, "God working," and "encouraging others." This is not a place for you to unburden your souls. If you have need to confess, see your pastor or spiritually mature friend. Issues of a personal nature cannot be resolved on a public forum like this. So then, following the guidelines explained above, we look forward to hearing from you.🌞

Every generation is required to present the Gospel. The instructions of Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20 have not been rescinded. Mat 28:18-20 ESV (18)  And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (19)  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20)  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Ideas and the meaning of words change over time. In the 21st century, that change occurs more quickly than at any other time in human history. This results in a greater challenge for emerging church leadership. Developing strong leadership takes time. it is the responsibility of church leaders to set the example and provide sound teaching to the members of the church body. Each church has two classes of leaders, the professionals and the laity. Professional leaders are those who draw a salary from the church organization. These are people with specialized training from some recognized Christian education institution; a Bible College or Seminary. In generations past, societal change was slow, especially when compares to today. Methods for sharing the gospel required tweaking, not wholesale change. The computer and the Internet have changed all that. The tools of scientific research are far superior and more sophisticated than anything that existed in generations past. The quick development of an effective vaccine for Covid-19 is a current example. As the vaccine roles out you can almost hear the collective sigh as tensions release in anticipation of the lifting of social restrictions. With every good comes the not-so-good. 🙄
